Unfortunate Friends

I am ashamed to say that not far from where I live there was a sickening incident, where a sicko tortured and murdered a 1 year old golden retriever. He was charged and taken to court, where our judicial system felt that his crime only merited a meagre 6 month jail sentence for this deplorable crime, against an innocent animal.

If Mac had lashed out and bit this psycho in an instinctive reaction, the courts would have been quick to put a death sentence on Mac. Yet a human that was well aware of what he was doing only got a few months. Where's the justice?
